Apollo, or “Po” for short, was a Corgi, which in itself tells you a lot about him! He was full of personality and attitude, and ruled the “roost” with his small dog syndrome. He leaves behind his human Mom and Dad, as well as his human siblings, Avery and Nathan. He has an older canine sister, Jersey, and they were inseparable. He was her guidance, as she is aging, and she misses him immensely and searches for him around the house and yard. He also has a feline sister, Gato, and they didn’t see eye-to-eye, but tolerated each other. She loved to provoke and tease him. Po loved treats, naps, going to visit grandparents, and loved having visitors come see him. He loved being touched, if there was a hand or foot within nose reach, he was nudging it to be petted and loved on. Laying on the floor was fair game to be cuddled with. He was a creature of habit, and his routines didn’t waiver. He was my shadow, I was his person, and he wanted to be near me all the time, and he always was – even at the end of his earthly life. His family misses him every day, and always will. We know he is running sprints up and down fence lines in no pain and eating all the cheese, jerky, and snacks that his heart desires! Until we meet again, Po, I will forever miss you and your unwavering loyalty. Run fast, noble steed, and we will see you again when the time comes. You’re such a good boy!
