Hope wasn’t just a dog — she was family, a faithful companion, and the truest friend anyone could ever ask for. For 14 beautiful years, she walked beside me through every season of life — through heartbreaks and healing, through new beginnings and old goodbyes. She was there for my children’s first breaths, my oldest’s hardest days, and countless quiet moments in between.

She loved adventure — camping trips, long hikes, and dipping her paws in creeks and lakes. The great outdoors was her happy place, especially when she could roll in the snow and smile that big, joyful grin that could melt the coldest day.

Even as time caught up with her — when her eyes clouded and her hearing faded — her heart never wavered. She still found joy in the sunshine, peace in the grass beneath her paws, and love in every moment we shared.

On her final day, she got to play in the sun one more time — a golden moment of freedom before her gentle spirit was called home. Though her body could no longer stay, her love remains — in every memory, every photograph, every quiet space where she once lay.

Hope’s name fit her perfectly — because she brought hope to my life, and to everyone who was lucky enough to know her. I’ll carry her pawprints on my heart forever.

Run free, my sweet girl. You’ve earned your rest.
Until we meet again.
